Education, internships, R&D collaborations
Albatroz Engineering believes that a strong
and lifelong link between education, R&D and work experience are essential
to
- achieve the best and more innovative technical solutions,
- discover international markets and working environments,
- satisfy professionals who are motivated towards, research, development and innovation.
The practical consequence of this policy are the collaboration on education projects developed within our business environment and short term internships (1 to 3 months).
Scientific Collaborations
Albatroz Engineering has established contacts with engineering schools and R&D institutes in order to establish joint internships and education projects. The first final year
project began in September 2006.
The following institutional relationships have been established:

As a member of IST spin-off, Albatroz
Engineering proposes final year projects, summer internships and Master Thesis based on real-life technical problems found within the scope of its R&D activities.
There is also an earlier protocol with Instituto Superior Técnico Electrical Engineering Department.

CENTRIA, Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia, Universidade Nova de Lisboa
CENTRIA is the centre for artificial intelligence of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. With CENTRIA, Albatroz Engineering maintains a permenent scientific collaboration since 2009 and also offers Master Thesis problems for students of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia.

Universidade da Beira Interior
Contacts established between Albatroz Engineering and the Department for Aerospace Science of Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI) at Covilhã, Portugal, led to the collaboration at UBI activities and, since 2011, to a PhD program in Aeronautical Engineering.

BEST - Board of European Students of Technology, Lisbon
The Lisbon BEST group invited Albatroz Engineering to participate on the 2011 BEST Summer course on entrepreneurship.
Education internships
The
first intership started in April 2006. There are active collaborations with the following institutions:

IAESTE - International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience
IAESTE is the most experienced student exchange organisation, with over 60 years of experience. Albatroz Engineering collaborates with IAESTE by offering a two to four month internship every Summer.

European Union's Program Leonardo da Vinci
The European
Union's Leonardo da Vinci Program is a part in EU's education and training tool set.When invited to participate, Albatroz Engineering tailors an intership program fit to each interns profile.

Fundação da Juventude
Portugal's Fundação da Juventude promotes summer internships for university students under the program PEJENE.

Since its foundation in 2006, Albatroz Engineering has welcomed numerous students from different countries around the world and working on very different subjects.
